How You Can Create Your Destiny
Enjoy a new life lesson from Kaika – “Boy Entrepreneur”
On Saturday morning, Kaika was set up a seven o’clock just outside the swap meet’s entrance. At 8:30 a man and his wife stopped by to ask him about his venture. The man said, “My name is Patrick, and I am an author, speaker, and publishing coach, so I just wanted to come over and congratulate you on building your own business and working toward building your own destiny! Most importantly, I am a father and I have been encouraging my two boys each to create his own business. This is why I was attracted to your sales stand.”
Kaika was very proud to hear these words. With a smile, he replied, “Thank you Patrick!” Then Patrick asked, “What are your dreams and goals? What do you want to do when you grow up? Have you ever written out your goals?” Kaika said, “When I grow up, I want to play professional football, then own a pro sports team and a cruise line so I can travel all over the world and see the places where all my clients I have met during the summer come from. The only problem is I have no idea how to achieve such a goal and what actions I should take between now and then.
Patrick replied, “You don’t need to know the how! All you have to do is believe in your visions and sooner or later, the ‘HOW’ will show up in your life. The key to achieving your dreams is to take action and live by this mantra:
DREAM the impossible. PLAN for success. EXECUTE your visions. SOAR in life.
Patrick continued, “Kaika, the important thing to remember is that first you need to dream. Next, you need to come up with a game plan for how you will achieve your dreams. Then, you will need to take action and execute your goals. Action equals results! Massive action equals massive results!
When you dream, plan and execute, you will ultimately create your own destiny and soar in life. In doing so, you will attain a great balance between family, faith, wealth, and health. Remember this forever Kaika. You are the one who decides the fate of your life as destiny occurs by ‘choice’ not by ‘chance.”
Creating your destiny requires setting goals
“One last thing,” Patrick said. “My father had me fill out my first goal sheets when I was in the eighth grade. As a result, I earned my college degree and became an author, speaker, publishing coach, and an entrepreneur.
I successfully raised two amazing boys I am so proud of, and I even was able to move to Maui, all as a result of my father having me fill out the goal sheets. If you, too, want to take charge of your life, become the captain of your ship, and the creator of your destiny, I encourage you to do the same.

Patrick proceeded to buy a makau fishhook for himself and a bracelet for his beautiful wife, Nicole. Kaika thanked them and proceeded to sell another set to the next couple waiting in line behind them.
Later that evening, Kaika wrote out the the following ten “TO DO” goals on his goal sheet and looked at it regularly for many years to come.
- Graduate from college
- Marry Leilani
- Play professional football and buy a pro sports team
- Purchase a cruise line
- Become a lifelong entrepreneur
- Live in Maui
- Have two sons and one daughter
- Mentor youth of today to become leaders of tomorrow
- Write a best selling book
- Become a professional speaker
Take a moment and write down the five actions you need to take, ideas to pursue, or achievements to earn for you to create your own destiny.
